Richard, the founder of Hei Lemon, has worked in marketing and brand building in Hong Kong and overseas for many years. Despite his fast-paced life, he has always longed to find the pure taste and warmth in life.
The story of Hei Lemon began with a trip to the Amalfi Coast in Italy.
Many years ago, Richard accidentally discovered the local lemon products while traveling. One of them, Perle di Sole , a lemon candy made by a candy workshop with more than 70 years of history, was particularly impressive to him. This candy uses the essence of lemons ripened under the Amalfi sun, with a fresh and natural taste and just the right sweetness and sourness. At that moment, he was deeply moved by this pure and natural flavor, and the idea of creating a lemon brand was planted in his heart.
Later, during a trip to the Setouchi International Art Festival in Japan, Richard not only personally experienced Yayoi Kusama's pumpkin installation art, but also encountered lemons again there. The Setouchi Inland Sea region is rich in local lemons with delicate fragrance due to its mild climate and nourishing sea breeze. Not only did he taste candied fruits and drinks made from Setouchi lemons there, he also saw for the first time the "Heart Lemon" grown using special technology. The cute appearance, like a work of art, gave him an idea - what would it be like if he could turn this creativity and care into sweetness in his daily diet?
In this way, Heart-shaped lemon honey was born. Heart-shaped lemons from Setouchi are selected, cut into slices, and paired with natural honey. They are handmade in small batches in a food factory in Hong Kong. Each bottle is condensed with meticulous care and sincerity. The subsequent launch of Heart-shaped lemon tea continues this concept, with a refreshing fragrance that relieves greasiness and warms the body and mind. It quickly became a popular choice of Hei Lemon.
The brand name "Hei Lemon" is derived from the homonym of "Xilinmen", which means the arrival of happiness, sweetness and good luck. We believe that a lemon and a little care can add a touch of bright color to life.
